Jaguars at self serve wreckers

Absolutely agree, I had some minor rear end damage repaired on my 95 X300 a year or so ago. Looking at the repairer's invoice and comparing to the current market value, I realised it wouldn't take very much at all to turn my Jag into a financial write-off for insurance purposes.

I couldn't believe my luck after finding a set of 18" Jaguar Proteus wheels at Jollys. I found the first one thrown into the boot of a Toyota, and had to double take thinking was that a Jaguar wheel? Flipping it over confirmed Jaguar stamped inside. Then spent over an hour scouring the yard for the other 3. Apparently these were meant for someone but they got scrapped and thrown into the yard
They do have a few scrapes, one was used to prop up a car. But I reckon they will clean up alright. Still can't complain for $128 the set Unfortunately the nuts and centre caps are long gone.
Jaguar wheels especially in the larger sizes are extremely hard to find in Australia. The 17" sport wheels on dad's S-Type I had to ship from interstate. These will eventually find their way onto the S-Type.

Another S-Type! This time at DIY auto parts in Broadmeadows. I bagged the rear bumper off it for dad, it came with both chrome moulds and reflectors! Not bad for $40!
Someone pulled the wheels off to bag the centre caps, but they did all the hard work for me as I got all the genuine wheel nuts off the ground!
P.S. If anyone sees something they need on my posts let me know I am more than happy to help out where I can. There were a few XJ40 Jags there but I didn't get a chance to get photos as I didn't have a lot of time.

Hope you all are staying safe and having a very Merry Christmas! In between family and friends I managed to sneak off to Jollys Dandenong today to check out a front bumper on a X200 S-Type. $129 later I have a very good front bumper as a spare!
Here's a pic of the S-Type. Have to say I couldn't see any accident damage If you're after parts get in quick as the cars generally last 3 months before they are sent to the crusher.
And a little something for you X-Type owners:
