Default Oil Change Costs -- Canada/Toronto

I'm approaching my first (out of pocket) service date -- the 2nd anniversary of my 2018 F-type.

I was quoted $825 + tax for the oil change. YIKES. For this price, I was told it includes: "an oil and filter change, we replace your engine air filters, cabin air filter, top up all your fluids and perform a full multi-point inspection".

Anyone in the Greater Toronto Area have experience at a local Jaguar dealership where the service might be a bit more reasonably priced? I can't say I'm adventurous enough to do my own oil change so that's not an option.

Ok -- so I found out that the cost for an oil/filter change on its own is $350 with the same dealer. The full service maintenance that I was initially quoted includes the cabin & engine filters, fluid top up and inspection. Given the KMs on my car, I think I'm going to just do the oil change and forget about the other stuff. Not enough KMs on the car to require the filter changes.

The engine air filters do appear to be an absolute pain to change, so can imagine they aren't cheap to have done. Haven't attempted them myself yet....online vids don't make it look fun or quick or easy!

Yeah, I noticed that too. The cabin filter looks easy enough to change on my own. I'm not sure how bad the engine filter would be given I only have 29,000 kms (versus the service interval of 52,000kms).

I have a DIY video for the oil change on my youtube channel. Super easy and inexpensive. There is no reason to bring your car in for a servicing for an oil change and some air filters. Minimum tools will save you thousands in the long term if you plan on keeping your F-Type.
