Air Vent Cleaning
Hello All,
Recently picked up a 2002 xkr, alls pretty good and am pretty happy, been viewing this forum and others on how to take special care of my new hobby.
I'm getting some 'dust' blown in from the vent system (ac or heat on), I suspect the vents have dirt/mildew/debris/odor in them. I understand I 'may' have a microfilter but don't want to pull the other parts yet to check.
I did see some entries referring to a product used to blow foam into the system and shop vac it out to pull dust etc and clean them but I could not find any details. Does anyone here know of such a product OR the best way to clean out these vent columns?
Thanks Jack

Replacing the cabin filter is really easy...takes literally a few minutes. On the XJ, all you do is open the hood and locate the plastic compartment which is below the windshield on the passengers' side. Open the compartment pull out the old one and place the new filter inside. I'm sure it's the same or similar on your model.
