Blurry Headlights
Hi guys!
I need you because I have to deal with the scourge of all headlights… BLURRY HEADLIGHTS! I did not pay attention to my headlights and now they are all dirty, I tried cleaning them with toothpaste and a brush as a friend told me but it failed and I really have to get it done: It would be dangerous to drive without them being spotless… any tips? I am getting really desperate… Also, if anyone knew how to protect my headlights so it does not happen again, I’d love them to share with me! |
There are several kits, from McQuires, to Mothers/Powerball, to Turtle wax, for headlights. I even found a kit at Wal Mart, in a "Foil" pouch, that has a couple different grades of sanding sheets, to sand, and then polish the lights, and a coating to make them stay clear. I did them on a 95' Chevy truck, the school owned. After 5 years they looked as good as the day I did them. They all cost around $20.00 USD. and all do a decent job. The one in the "Foil" pack from Wal Mart was the only one with the coating to keep them clear. Hope it helps.

Hi Jack!
Thanks for taking the time to answer me! So from what you're saying I can just go with any of these kits since all of them will do the trick anyways? How about the protection? |
Like I said, the only one with any kind of protectant was the one in the "FOIL" pouch, I got at Wal Mart. The others were just a polishing kit.

Hi,
Here is what I do usually
For protection you can apply a coating. My detailer applied IGL Coatings ecocoat headlights on mine approximately 5 months ago and so far so good! It is a Malaysian company and as such they are used to much harsh UV ray (as in during the whole year) and also acidic rains so all in all I feel that it should work longer than most products available in the market. |
