brake lamp switch
hi i own a 2018 e-pace [20k] and have been told that my brake lights are flicking on and off sometimes sticking on causing my car not to accelerate properly so have ordered a new brake lamp switch for it told this is the most likely problem but can anybody tell me where it is and how to get at it .. i looked by the pedal but carnt seem to see where it goes or how it fits thank you guys ..........gary

I don't know about an XE, but, hopefuly same rules apply to all current Jaguar models.
1)Below the sterering column, grab the knee panel down, it's held by 2 or 3 clips. Once you get the knee panel down you'll be able to see the brake light swith touching the brake pedal. To get it out, just twist the brake light switch "clockwise" and unplug it from the wiring harness. 2)Plug the the new switch in to the wiring harness and when installing this time twist the switch to the base "counter-clockwise". Now, install the the knee panel. You're done. No tools needed, though if you have a hard time getting the knee panel out, a Plastic Car Trim Panel removal tool will do the trick. |

hi thanks for replying i hope that they are the same as mine is an 2018 uk e-pace but i will look tomorrow and hopefully it works thanks so much for you help .......will let you know tomorrow night
