Low battery indication

Hi there
I keep getting a low battery indication on the dash even after a long run.
It reaches a point where the rear won't open on its own, without manually lifting it open.
My battery charger when connected to the battery only takes about 15 minutes before it indicates that the battery is fully charged.
Any help/ideas would be very welcome!
Many thanks

Here in the states, any auto parts stores that sells car batteries can test your car's battery FREE of charge. I think your battery is showing that it is on it's way out. Have it check before you buy a new one. Also, check battery connections if loose or corroded. Tighten or clean battery cables & + - post. Good luck

Low Mileage?

2018 epace: my wife drives very few miles. She had her battery replaced under warranty December 2020. Basically lack of use no codes or unusual draws, loose wires, etc

Wow in 2 years battery needs replacement? You can use a battery charger if the car is not in use for a week or so that way battery is always charge to spec. A lot of the members here use CTEK battery charger on their Jaguars.

Normally I would, in fact I have one in my garage, along with a battery pack left over from my XJ6L. However, due to an accident and being in a wheelchair I can no longer do that. I do use the remote start and the app to keep track of her mileage to ensure the vehicle is running. Not optimal but it’s better than nothing. Now if I could drive it around the block remotely 😉

Hi Monkey 2018
Thanks for your reply. I thought the same as you as well. But I took it to a technician who connected what looked like a small laptop. He then re programmed the battery charge monitor. This made the car think it had a new battery, and all has been well since then.
Fingers crossed !! A main dealer would be able to do the same.
