Car Carrier for E-Type
what type of car carrier should I request when shipping a S-1 '66 E-Type 2+2? The car wheel base was too narrow to be shipped with my two other Jaguars. Stuck in MI.
how narrow is the wheel base? The car carrier driver said this has never happened before. john |
We finally found a car carrier that can accommodate the width of the car. It was loaded last night and will arrive today. The driver took great care to load the car while a friend of mine who is familiar with British cars started the car and warmed it up.
I would suggest to anyone shipping an E-Type to check with the carrier before pickup, not all carriers can accommodate the width of the car. |

I'd say that you struck a driver that hadn't carried many cars from that period; or many cars, period. There were plenty of cars from that time that had smaller Track Widths and many new cars today that are close to it. Regards, Brent |
