Default Do torsion bars fatigue

How do you know when to replace? When my car is on a lift the RH side torsion bar is bent by the A-arm when the wheels are suspended. After removal both torsion bars are straight as and arrow they check within 0.010 of inch.
Thanks

I don't think they fatigue as such, but might sack-out a bit over the years. Of course there is a height adjustment facility at the attachment point on the bulkhead. Are they the original torsion bars ? It would help if you could post some photos on here so better advice can be given.

Yes but not like springs. Look for cracks or distortions in the bars. They should not be bent so my guess is someone lifted the car improperly and bent the bar. A new set is about $500: https://www.terrysjag.com/category/P...-2-E-TYPE.html
