Default E type 1967 roaster series I antenna location

hello Everyone,

I have an E type Series 1 roaster which I am currently restoring. My E type has the antenna at the rear of the car. Many I have seen are at the back. Does anyone know the factory location of the antenna?

JBITAR--not sure where you are or what market your car was delivered to. For the US market factory installed radios were rare until 1968. That said when the factory did install one in 1967 it would have been cowl mounted as billb44 has stated. It was not untill 1970 that Es ant. moved to the rear hip. This was to allow for a power unit as well as the fact "nothing shiny" could be in the drivers view (NHTSA reg.) Most if not all ant. at the time were chrome.
