I can get the measurement for you but I'm a little unclear what measurement you're looking for

Alos if someone has the correct pattern for drilling the holes in the front of the hood where the bracket on the plate holder is attached, I'd be pleased

Christer it would help if you said which year your car is. Series one and series 2 cars are fixed differently.

Then the holes will be horizontal to the front lip (but) there are two special packing pieces that go on the back of the lip to hold all straight. You will need access to the back side. The pan in the front bottom of the bonnet will need to be removed. The packing pieces are readily available. Series two (69-71) have different mounts on top of the lip FWIIW.

I just saw this post. Mine was built in early '67 and titled as a 67. It's series 1.5. with toggles and open headlights. Tomorrow, I'll check the rod length, as I have one on the shelf. I just need to find LOL!

Christer, here is the setup I have. The rod is 14". As you ca see, the clevis attachment makes it adjustable. Don't be mislead by the angle. It is 14" from the center of the "curved" end. Hope this helps. Apologies for the enormous size.
