Hello,

Jaguar dealer here and new to the group. I found a complete set of owner’s manuals for a 1969 XKE Series II. Never thought much of it and was going to put on eBay and then I looked in the OEM folio. I found a complete set of books (see photo) compete with original owner’s ID plate and service booklet. I know it is a long shot, but I would love to reunite these items with the owner of this car if it is still out there. The serial number is 1R8024 and the engine number is 7R2170-9. I don’t want any money for this, would just like to get these items where they belong. If anyone could point me in the right direction to try and find the owner of this car I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Carlos Garcia

Good for you doing the right thing. Don't see it on xkedata.

Carlos:

I applaud your efforts to reunite these valuable books with the car they originally came from.

There is also another U.S.-based Jaguar forum that you may want to post this onto: www.forums.jag-lovers.com.

If the owner of the car doesn’t step forward you should offer this up for sale on ebay so that an owner of another 1969 E-type can use them. A complete set of docs such as this one can easily bring $500 or more...possibly way more.

Good luck,
Alan
