Looking for a mechanic/engine builder for a V-12
I have recently inherited a 1972 E-Type roadster after the passing of its owner. The car itself is well along with a full restoration however the engine is currently pulled from the car and mostly apart. The heads are re-assembled with the valves, cam towers, and cams and it appears to me that all other parts are clean and ready for re-assembly. I do have a brand new set of pistons and liners. I am looking for someone experienced in these engines, preferably in the mid-west, to complete the reassembly the engine long block and make sure all I have all the required parts. I am not looking for fitment into the car. Just bringing all the parts to someone for reassembly then I would pickup the assembled long block. Our network of Jaguar enthusiasts from the cars owner has not yielded any leads who want to tackle a V-12 engine. I am not looking for a 100 point show car in the engine build rather a very nice driver. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

Pikeman,
Try contacting the Jaguar Affiliates Group of Michigan Website: http://www.jagm.org . Most of the clubs have vendor sources for repairs parts and service. Where are you in Michigan? I'm originally from Benton Harbor. Brian |
Not sure how far you are from North Central Wisconsin, but I would recommend Classic Mechanics, in Neenah, WI
