Series 1 Rear body tag / plate
Looking for some help in recreating the rear body tag that is fastened behind the license plate on a 1967 XKE. The original was removed for paint and went missing. This doesn't appear to be an item that can be purchased and then stamped. I have the heritage certificate and the matching numbers. Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

This is a problem I have been researching my self. I have decided to make a one-off embossing die for my number as it is stamped into a thin sheet of aluminum. I am doing this by casting a positive and negative of the number so I can press it in the metal strip. There are actual embossing machines but the font is wrong. will let you know haw this works. I might be able to make it cost effective to offer as a service

backside of tag showing depression
shows raised letters/numbers
head on.
Took a while but have finally been able to reproduce the body tags for the e-type. These are the tags on the inside of the FHC or on the license plate filler. These are embossed so not a simple stamping but raised letters.

Have an 1968 xke convert in excellent shape and Jaguar Heritage Trust certification showing a numbers matching car except the body number was unable to be found so they put the word Originally 4E 10273 on the certificate. The chassis and engine numbers do match the ones on the car. I would like to purchase the plate that is behind the license plate that you mentioned is for sale. Body no= 4E 10273. marczygmunt@aol.com 724-413 1580 My address is 324 squire lane ,mcmurray ,pa 15317

Hello Jagrik.
If you are still making the alloy body number tags I would like to purchase one my number is R 2721 I am in the UK . e mail andrewroberts73@outlook.com
My car is booked in for painting in 3 weeks and I have managed to loose the tag which I carefully removed and put in a safe place, and of course can no longer remember where.
Best regards Andy.
