How is this done??

Is this like a body kit or is it just dropped really really far. It looks like a body kit on the sides. How would I be able to do this?

That looks like a combination of a body kit with most likely an air ride setup. Be prepared to spend a lot of money to drop it that low, as I am not even sure if there is an off the shelf kit for your application (so there will be a lot of fab work involved).

Haha yeah I'm already fairly sure there's no off the shelf kit for my car. I wish there was though :/

I am pretty darn sure that it it somewhat of a body kit with the bumpers reshaped. Since you've got an Xj40, with the metal bumpers, it would most likely look silly unless you tried to put different bumpers on it, and at that price it just become unnecessary and worthy of ricedexotics.com

Body kit is massively nice I would do it with chrome inserts on it but lowering the car that much is not something I like to approve as it looks funky and oddish

You can also get a similar effect if you can persuade a friendly Elephant to sit on it for a while ;) LOL

Contact info in this pic (knew that I had seen it in a previous thread somewhere)

What is so strange to me is that they take the X306, and slather it up with X308R parts. Wouldn't it be easier (and presumably faster) to just start with the X308R

I just went to the J-Complete website, and not everything is so lets say extreme.

Jaggyx 10-14-2010 12:05 AM

I just think it looks gangster-ish

Jaggernaut 10-27-2010 07:57 PM

it looks pretty cool, but gosh damn those parts are quite pricey!
Is there another place to get that type of body kit or something similar elsewhere?
Is there a shop in the US like J complete?
