I have a XF 2014 3.0l V6 supercharged. AJ126 engine. It has 77,000 miles on the clock.

I have a developing problem. Yesterday when I got in the car to go home from work the engine started as normal, but the gear selector knob did not rise. I switched off and then switched on again and this time the selector knob rose and I drove home normally.

This morning getting in the car to go to work the engine started normally but this time the gear selector knob only rose about a quarter way and on the dashboard, I got parking brake fault and gearbox fault warnings. I switched off and on again and the everything was normal.

Is this an early indication of a developing fault?

Thanks

Hey guys, I smoke tested my 2009 xf 4.2 NA due to having wonky trims, I replaced the pcv and that eliminated the issuse but only for a couple days. For some reason im unable to upload a video but significant amount of smoke is puking out egr around top cylinder between plastic, the metal and metal seal seems fine, and then on my oil filler tube it is also puking out. Is the egr rebuildable and is there supposed to be a rubber gromit on the filler cap or do I need to replace the whole valve cover.
I used a smoke leak detector out side, and the smoke was insanely visable.

Hey guys I been having issues with P0175 code on my 2010 XF Supercharged 5.0 for a bit now. Now I have replaced the maf sensors, injectors, upstream o2
sensors and purge valve. Now this code only pops up on my scanner as a historic code after doing accelerating hard. It never throws an actual light just a historic code. Basically the car will pull great but as soon as I left off the gas after a pull the car bogs down alot then returns back to normal cruising rpm after a couple seconds. The fuel trims are way off obviously with this issue. Just really hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Hello gents, im based in canada, just looking for anyone with extensive knowledge on the 2009 4.2l NA aj34 engine. I've been chasing multiple trim gremlins but I've narrowed it down to a couple thing. Valve cover gaskets, both need replacing and im assuming ever other part that entails will as well, breather tube? Seen this a couple times pop up, not sure what it is, but if its an issuse on this model will replace as well. Fuel pump leaning towards some of my issuses may be with it, I've recently rolled over 200k km not miles. Any one one know of where I can order whats needed would be fantastic. All and any advice is also always welcomed.

I am having trouble finding "immobilization" function on SDD v169. I am having the classic 2015 XF facelift battery disconnect issue with washer pump, central locking, and keys not recognized. I am able to run SDD v169 full online with a subscription, mongoose plug, laptop plugged in, power supply unit at 13.5v 50A. I was able to get to every feature described in many forums about updating and running the "configure existing module" for the KVM BCM and BCMB(Central junction box, Auxiliary junction box and Keyless vehicle module). As well as being able to run the battery replacement option. But all the previous posts are from people running older software with the "immobilize" feature under the security section of service functions in SDD.

I was able to do all the steps within SDD v169 with turning the car on and off and completed every service function, recommendations tab and even extras tab. I ran through SDD with no problems or failed tests. But my problems still persist as if nothing changed with the car. I was curious if in the new updates for SDD they they maybe switched "immobilize" to "configure as new module"? Or if it is safe to run configure as new module under the service functions tab for the CJB and auxiliary junction box in hopes to fixing the problems described. There is also no corrosion on the CJB as some people describe with leaking washer power pump. I am certain the issue is within SDD, I have spent about 7 hours in SDD updating so many modules in the car and running almost every possible test relevant to the issue. I just am at the point where either I just cant find the immobilize feature or I need to configure modules as new is the last thing I haven't tried.
