Hey all! Excited to be a part of the jag community.

I recently purchased my dream car: the F Type. It�s been a long ten year wait but definitely lives up to the hype.

Got it in excellent shape with only 25k miles. I felt like it was a little sluggish after about 60mph so I got a stage 2 tune for it. Although that seems to not have helped much.

As most do, wish I could get the v8, but I can get that in the future. For now I�m loving the Jag and the sound is beautiful!

Hi, I am now the proud owner of a 1950 MK V drophead which has only done 5k miles in the last 15 years but stored in a warm dry private museum. All looks really good but Im just starting a recommissiong programe, the usual, all oils, water, petrol, points and brakes. However after not being used for over 4 years is there anything specific that anyone recommends that I should check/ clean out? One thought was the 2 oilway plates on the side of the engine?? Any thoughts welcome.

Hi Everyone,

I am a new XJ6 owner from Hungary.
As a professional I work in the automotive business supporting telemetry & control unit development.

In my private life I like old cars, and beginning of this year I finally could buy my XJ6 from 1997.
I want to dive deep in the electronics and understood the system operation for curiosity.
I also have a Skoda from 1972 - but it has only a few wires compared to the XJ.

I would like to briefly introduce myself: My name is Michael; I am 65 years old,
from Germany, and currently reside in Rhineland-Palatinate specifically in Speyer am Rhein.
In terms of automotive background, I originally hailed from the Porsche camp. Over the years, I had the pleasure of driving�among other vehicles, Porsche 944 S2 and 911 Carrera (996), both in convertible form. However, as time went on, a desire emerged to enjoy the automotive experience in a somewhat more comfortable and refined manner.
Since last year, I have been the proud owner of a 2003 Jaguar XK8 Convertible 4.2�a vehicle that, for me, wonderfully combines elegance, comfort, and driving pleasure.
My home region here�encompassing the Black Forest, the Wine Route, Alsace, and many other beautiful stretches of road�lends itself perfectly to relaxed drives in the evening sun.
Long story short: As an enthusiast of both technology and Jaguar, I look forward to connecting with like-minded individuals here, sharing experiences, and undoubtedly picking up a helpful tip or two along the way.

1st Time Jag Owner

Stumbling though trying to find my way around the forum. Not real tech savvy here, and that in of itself is an issue as I recently purchased a 2023 F-Type R Coupe. I simply am not smart enough to own a car of this caliber. I found this forum and it was only out of an on line search for information about an overfilled oil pan. If I can find the right thread I have some concerns. My car has just under 6000 miles.

I have been a British sports car fan since my first car a 1960 Austin Healey 3000 MkI. I've owned a number of cars since then but was always smitten by the early XKE Coupes and the D-Type. I've been fortunate to have driven quite a number of XKE's over the years and even did a tour as the navigator in a D-Type, but never owned either. Frankly after the XKE I rarely if ever took a second look at another Jaguar. Then the F-Type came out. Once again I was smitten. And here I am. I am not a big computer person so I apologize in advance. I look forward to learning about my car and meeting people with similar interests.
