Hello everyone!

I just bought my 16 Jaguar XF about two years ago. Drove fine. Then I started having electrical issues.

All at once I got errors on my dash saying that ABS, drive modes, cruise control, and electronic parking brake were all unavailable. Battery was kind of old so I replaced that, didn't fix the problem. Still drove it as everything seemed fine, battery voltage was normal both off and running. Now I got "charging system fault". My first thought was a bad alternator, I replaced it. While doing so I found that I had an oil leak that I couldn't quite locate, but it was leaking into the alternator. But in the end replacing the alternator didn't fix the problem. Anyone else had a problem like this? I live in the middle of no where and none of the mechanics in a 50 mile radius will touch my car. It's possible that the alternator I got actually isn't compatible, as I did do some budgeted shopping for one. Any ideas?

My 2017 XFS lost all power on the motorway last night - the accelerator wasn't responding and I thought it was just lag for a moment but it didn't kick in and then felt like the car actively slowed when I pressed the accelerator down hard. I pulled over and switched the ignition off then when I switched it back on the accelerator worked again and was fine for the rest of the journey. The same happened again within the first 10 minutes of the return journey.

I've got a P2101-77 diagnostic code suggesting I likely need to either clean or replace the throttle body. I disconnected a pipe from the side of the air intake and it was very brittle and snapped off as I pulled the connector away.

Does anyone know what this is? It looks like I might just be able to replace the tubing but I'm not sure what with e.g. whether it needs to be a specific spec (heat resistant? able to cope with pressure of whatever goes down it etc?).
