Our new SVR to match our F-Type. These two are definitely cut from the same cloth. Had it for about 3-months now.. loving it so far!

Default 3L V6 - is there a design flaw?

Very sad day on 24/04/2025, the end of my Jaguar dream. My 3L V6 didn’t even get past 44,000 miles! The failure was a suspected crankshaft but not proven and JLR (UK) refused to accept responsibility.

Dragged by chain onto the transporter. I never received an answer to the question ~ “what is the design life of a fully serviced 3L V6?” The silence from JLR was deafening.

Sorry to hear about your crankshaft failure.

So far, so good with our Jags. Thus far the most miles my wife and I have put on a V6 was 66,523 on our 2016 XF. The most on our E-PACE P300 petrol I4 has been 91,845. I'm hoping...praying, actually...that each of our Jags achieves 463,000 miles on their odometers like my 1995 Toyota Previa did without ever opening the engine, transmission, differentials or transfer case. And I'd probably still have it were it not for the fact that I'd have to buy a donor vehicle from which to obtain replacement parts. Our 2023 SVR has but 33,000+ miles on it. My wife previously thought that she had to sell her vehicle when she was told to replace worn windshield wiper blades. Seriously! A few decades later and she now worries once the warranty expires, especially when a vehicle lacks a spare tire. I'm of the opposite mindset and keep my vehicles until the cost of maintenance & repairs exceeds what I had previously paid each month on a car loan. I oftentimes search for the Jag owner who has accumulated the most miles on his/her Jaguar. 100,000; maybe, 200,000 miles can be attained by taking expensive preventative maintenance on known Jaguar mechanical weaknesses.

How many miles has it accumulated? I'd like to see us Jag owners prove the naysayers by pulling hundreds of thousands of miles on our Jaguars. Unfortunately, with the demise of the Jaguar brand, those of us who try might find ourselves without replacement parts that are unique to Jaguars. In the meantime...tally ho!!!!

Oops! I missed a couple words. Prove the "naysays wrong". And, "putting". Not, "pulling".

68,500 Miles and no issues. Just changed Rear Rotors and Rear Pads and put a new set of tires before winter gets here!
