I think it’s a question of perspective and personal taste. On some cars that color really look good and makes it unique. Doesn’t make me think at all of elderly ladies , specially on cars below...or maybe I’m just too young

 

I ordered Desire Red. I think its a super colour, it looks very dark (almost black) however when the sun hits it just right it looks deep red. The Matte finish was produced in error. I did not buy that as it looked too purple for me and the paintwork from the factory wasn't as pristine as I thought it should be.
I was worried after seeing it that the Gloss Fininsh was going to be purple too, but it is a deep dark burgundy colour and I love it!

Its alike the 'Barrolo black ' Landrover used to have..

 

A friend of mine owned an E-Type in this color (non-metallic).

 

Color ok because it is different but not worth up charge. I agree that IRR was great color and like the blue also.

 

I have to say I sneered at the colour when I first saw it, but I've seen publicity shots of an XJ in it and I thought it was amazing.

 

To each is own. I'd absolutely pay the additional charge for this color.

 

Just saw a version of this color on a used '17 F Pace S on a dealer web site. they are showing it as a $550 option!

 

Thats cheap, in the EU its € 5500 equals $ 6000,- ...

 

I had a 370Z in a similar color. Nissan called it "Black Cherry" Nice color, looked different each time you looked at it.
