3G 4G maybe 5G mobile connection

I ordered a F-Type and now I start to look into the details. From wht I read in the brochure the connect still works with 3G. Anybody knows if that moved on to 4G for the 2018 models ?

Anybody attemted to retrofit a 4G module ? I know that in the Algarve in Portugal [ for US readers ; southern coastal region nearest to California one can get in W-Europe climate wise],
the 3G is almost extinct and all mast are converted to 4G... So you get to basic mobile phone level if you don't have a 4G capable phone...

If its not 4G my car may be outdated before I get it... :icon_deadhorse:
