Default 4 or 6 Point Harness

So we have been breaking out heads trying to figure this out.
After removing the carpet trim behind the seats, we do see a bar (roughly 2x6 or so) which appears to be frame.
Could we mount the shoulder points there or do we have to make a harness bar of some sort?

My biggest issue is that it seems that if we did make a harness bar, it would force me to sit closer to the wheel due to the center between the seats having metal which pokes out further than directly behind the seats. When you're 6'2, that does not seem like an option I want to go with.

Were working closely with a few manufacturers trying to figure out how to mount these safetly without sacrificing space. Any input is welcome, first show is 3 weeks away so were starting to be in a bind!

A picture would probably help.

As a 6'2" guy in a F-Type R I think you are going to have a significant challenge finding space to mount the shoulder belts in a proper way without significantly cutting the plastic panel behind the seat (I have no idea what is back there).

These were from my first F-TYPE. Sorry for the crappy quality.

And of course the complete shell of the car:

If it's for show, you could floor mount it if you have to.

In an accident, this would break your collarbones, but at least it looks cool.

Ok so those pics are way better than what I could have.
So my question is this:

The bottom 2 points will mount under the seat.
The 2 shoulder points, would they be safe to mount to the bar in the back (rectangle blue and silver bar in the last pic)?
We were going to use bolts with plates on the trunk side to secure them in there.

Furthermore, should I just leave the factory belt hooked up behind the seat so that I don't have to deal with the light?

The important part is the angle:

The height of the seat with rails installed will determine whether or not that bar will work.

You should be able to unplug the harness from the female portion of the buckle, and bridge the connection. May require some investigation with a multimeter to figure out if it needs a resistor or not.

Source: I'm in the process of building our third Lemons track car and they're incredibly strict about safety.

Indeed they are. I don't think that 4-point is even legal, although I haven't read the rules in a couple of years.

Even if it is legal, you need those anti-sub belts to stay safe. Otherwise you can permanently lose height real fast.

We're in agreement. My point was mainly that if you need something to be safe, it's probably required by LeMONS.

I knew we were in agreement. Just trying to underscore the point for Punisher's benefit.

It was jfranks who mentioned leMONs. I highly doubt Punisher is running his F-type in a leMONs race. Saw my brother-in-law's brother run an old LTD police cruiser in a leMONs race - highly amusing.

The Crown Vic is probably the most successful LeMONS car in the series history. In an endurance race, endurance matters a lot and those things can take the punishment.

Okay, we've gone far enough down the Lemons rabbit hole. That's enough threadjacking

So I searched the forums for a race harness, saw the CG Lock recommendations and found out they have since been discontinued due to production cost. I did find a project 7 racing harness online at an offical parts store, but it looks to be sold out. I'm hoping that a minimum they have the mounting brackets (number2) in the image. I'll call around and let you know what I find.

So I called a dealership near me (Boston MA) and was told "it was a limited edition sourced directly from the UK". I've reached out to Viezu and VAP to see what they are using; because I am assuming they regularly track their vehicles. I figured it can't hurt.

No Dice. I heard back from VAP and Viezu to which both said they don't have a solution. I figured it was worth the ask.
