Question advice on this car - a good value? 2014 F-Type V8S Convert

fellers -

The pickin's are slim here in the Pacific NW for Convertible F-types in white. I'm looking for a V8S RWD, 14-15, less than 20K miles, white on black and highly optioned and I've found this car from a private seller from NJ. It's a 2 owner car (CarFax states 4).

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...3429/overview/

I'm having a PPI done by the local Jag dealership tomorrow but I'm pretty nervous about purchasing without driving the car and eye-balling everything for myself. The seller's been more than gracious and accommodating with additional photos and walk around vids. The vids and additional photos show the car in good condition however not in the 'perfect' condition that a car guy would like to see his car in when purchasing sight unseen. (a few rock chips on the hood and a few nail marks on the interior door handles and steering wheel).

Shipping costs will be ~$2k closed container and I am not entirely certain of the escrow of the payment and the release of car and title etc. process so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I need some therapy here to settle my head and I thank you in advance for helping me with my first world problems! :P

Your best bet is to see if you can do what I did with my first two Jags (2010 XFS and 2010 XFR) both of which I bought from interstate between 1,500 and 2,000 miles away - I arranged for a forum member (not this forum) to personally inspect them and go for a test drive etc. Both came back with good reports so I bought the car both times.
I did the same in reverse for one of them, went and had a close look at a C3 Vette he wanted to buy.
I'm sure there would be a member here only too happy to take a V8S for a spin on your behalf!

^^^ That's a joke about the excess power that the RWD V8s puts to the rear wheels, right?

Where in NJ is the seller?

It wasn't meant to be a joke but I see what you have done there with the word "spin"!
I dunno about Murica but here in Oz to "take a car for a spin" means to take it for a short test drive or fun drive.

I think it means that in most places (certainly in the UK). But never let colloquial usage get in the way of a good pun.

Appreciate the feedback. Not a bad idea at all. Now to find a member that’s available and willing.

Sorry, not local to Monmouth...

and yeah, "Take it for a spin" either means a short, lively test drive...or a 360 spin with tires lit up, the first time you mash the throttle. (Almost did that on one RWD V8 F that we test drove...)
