Don't you have the console button?

 

On U.S. models, the console button only works when the car is not moving (for cleaning purposes).

 

i hate to add to this confusion but i just went and confirmed, i can raise and lower my spoiler at will. it works while moving or stopped, and it auto raises well before 70mph (maybe 60?) and goes down at 40. i can also lower it after it has been auto raised with a simple push of the button at any speed. 15 V8S Vert US

 

I can manually raise the spoiler at any speed below 120 km/h, but I can not lower it above 80 km/h if it has been automatically raised at 120 km/h.

If automatically raised at 120 km/h, it will automatically be lowered at 80 km/h.

If manually raised it will stay raised untill I manually lower it.

15 R Coupe, EU-model.

 

Yes, the convertibles let you raise/lower it while driving; coupes (in the US) don't.

Also, I think vert can raise / lower but coupe cannot because it can obscure vision, and it was a nhtsa?

 

Bringing this thread back from the dead after a year. Anyone figured out how to manually / on-demand raise the rear spoiler on a US model R Coupe? Not looking for a discussion about drag or lift etc. just checking if this has been cracked, thats all.

 

My first year service is coming up soon and I intend to ask the dealer about changing the parameters. Seems to me that it would be a simple matter of altering the constants embedded in the code. I know that doesn't address your question directly because there would still be no way to raise and lower the spoiler on demand.
I don't recall ever reading a rationale for why Jag chose those MPHs for deploying and lowering. What harm would it do to raise at say 45 and lower at zero?

 

 

Most of the time I run this way:

Deployed my coupe spoiler halfway (just a little more than horizontal) and disconnected the motor with a switch I installed.

Yes I figured out how to manually control it, but it involves running too many wires for my liking.

 

Okay but my 16 v6s I always have the spoiler up with the button, never goes down, it can and I remember people saying I couldn't but I can lol

 

Convertibles let you raise it below 60MPH (the point when the vert raises it), but coupes don't. I think.
