Anyone a shooting brake?
Having owned a so called "clown shoe", aka BMW Z3 Coupe, I like it:

Interesting, but visibility must be non-existent. Says a lot about the f type design, that even this modification and it still has the looks. Not sure about the rear visor. Interesting there is somewhat of a healthy used market for manual transmission performance wagons, particulary the AMG's, Dodge Magnum, and Cadillac CTS-V ones that were made for awhile.

Those renders are beyond fugly and into outright desecration territory. JLR not making one is an absolutely the right call.

As another former Z3 Coupe owner, I have to say that I like it as well.

I would say it shares some DNA with the BMW Z3 coupe. |

You should try one - way more agile (and lighter) than our F's, and with a perfect 50/50 balance.

Why the sam heck are they called Shooting Brakes??? I have read and heard this description of a sport wagon for years. I mean Ford had a version for the Mustang, and Gm had one for the TA, I've also seen the ones for the XJS, and I have never seen a definitive reason, or explanation, as to why they are called Shooting Brakes?

Also the XF Jag has been available as an "estate" car for a few years now, it's just that JLR call it a "sportbrake". Sort of a modernised version of the old "shooting brake" word.
It was never available in the US until recently, see here for example: https://www.caranddriver.com/jaguar/xf-sportbrake One of the English members on this forum has a 2015 XFR-S Sportbrake. Also see this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...tbrake-213185/ |

I wouldn't mind having an XF shooting brake as a winter rat. Drop a pulley and a tune on it, and push over 400 hp. With AWD should get through the winter. There are some sizeable discounts on them as it appears they haven't sold to well.
