My two cents. The xkr is definitely a more comfortable car. Drives great, quick and everyone compliments it. My buddy’s c5 vette. No one even takes a double take and it’s a bit uncomfortable and kind of cheesy inside. I’m a wide guy. 5’11” and about 250. Not so much a belly but big.

I have two xkr’s. One lowered one stock height. Both require me to Slip in and out of it. You can bang your head if not careful. Much more comfortable than a vette. No comparison

The tensioner have been known to be problematic for some. The uppers are you easy enough to change if you are mechanically inclined. Suspension wise there may be a few bits that need to be changed. They aren’t expensive.

The vette is more a sports car and the xkr a GT type car. I LOVE my xkr's. And I’m the end realize you are comparing Two totally different cars , and classes of cars. Xkr exudes classic looks and modern performance. The vette. Ehhhhh.

Take one for a ride and decide yourself. I also have an xjr and a Porsche Cayenne turbo. All of which are daily driver status compared to my other cars. Summer time I always gravitate to the xkr very and literally drive it every day. Here are the both of them.

Three and a half years to respond? Your moniker suits you.
