Chrome Bonnet Insets
Anyone have chrome bonnet inserts? Are they worth $280 or pounds each? I think they would look great on a BRG bonnet. Not so noticeable on light colors.

I was thinking the same thing on my BRG, but decided the chrome side vents that come with the car was enough flash. Please post pics if you decide to do the hood vents in chrome.

You can't be too rich, too thin or have too much chrome

I think they would look great with BRG, or indeed any of the dark colors.
Mirror caps too, while you're at it! https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...0509517ae2.jpg |

I have never "added" chrome pieces to any car before. However this car came with a mix and match of black and chrome pieces. We were facing to either go all black or CF. But our wheels are silver and all black just did not fit that well. So we went hood louvers, mirror caps and rear hoop chrome. However on a silver/grey/blue car this blends in rather well and is not standing out.

I agree, and I like it. My car also is all chrome/silver except for black mesh hood vents. Trim pieces and wheels should either be all chrome/silver or all black, and I'd like to make the switch.

I agree too - nice choice. Very classy, IMO. To me, all black looks tough, which is very different.

When I got my mirror caps I dropped them off and had them wrapped in paint protection film before installing them. Makes for an over the edge, no seam look and no nicks from flying debris.
My roll bar hoops came in silver. |

Also a good idea. My white ones are wrapped in XPEL, and while chrome looks great, I also like those in body color. I'm ordering the chrome vents today.

Thanks, Schwabe also made me aware of those, and my local dealer, Annapolis JLR matched that price. I also called a couple of other dealers known for their low prices for accessories, and all others came in at $450 + shipping. That sounds like the rock bottom price, least right now. List price is $531.
Funny thing is I also saw an entire hood in Polaris White for $700 on eBay. It amazes me that giant hunk of aluminum is not much more than the hood vents. |
They look spectacular on the BRG. Birthday is coming up soon. I know what I'm getting for myself.

I like the fact that several variations of customization are available. I also like exactly how mine came out of the factory (just a touch of chrome). Xpelling the front end, rockers and mirror caps have been a saving grace. The Xpel surface just in front of the rear wheels already has gravel rash from all the road paving around Baltimore. (OK, a bit OT).

Show me a pic when installed. I may do the same on my car.

I picked up and installed the chrome louvers today. Installation was about as simple as it gets, taking about 10 minutes.
Pictures below are in bright sun, so perhaps a little hard to see the full effect, but they look great. I love the J-Blade feature of the louver emulating the J-Blade in the headlight. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...f5f9f2e0d6.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...5ec72d81c4.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...2632e6b070.jpg |
