Anyone add something like this to their F type as a nod to Jag heritage or honor a local car club?
I saw several such badges on eBay tonight while searching for Jaguar jacket patches and it started me thinking....
Hmmm, could adding one of these small emblems to the front grill be a nice subtle way to honor Jag heritage,.... nope, way too outdated a trend,... nah, too cheesy for a modern sports car, save them for old touring cars of the '40's and 50's?
I have no desire to modify the exterior of my R as I love it just the way it is (with the exception of possibly wrapping the side sill/rocker panels in black to slim the side profile), but adding a small grill badge might be a nice little bit of old school bling.
These two emblems caught my eye:
Rose of England: Nod to English heritage, kind of like adding Union Jack wheel center caps or valve stem covers
2017 Commemorative (since my car is a 2017):

Indeed it is. In all the years, I’ve never ever had a dealer sticker—or any sticker—on my car. That said, this is different. It’s not only beautiful but beautifully made (think heavy metal).
Jaguar Land Rover Scarborough Maine gave me enough of these to provide each attendee of last year’s event with one and have since “resupplied” me with them so I can send one to any Jaguar F-Type Forum member who wanted one (I think I’ve mailed out 5 or 6 thus far). If you’d like one, please PM me your address and I would be happy to pop one in the mail.
P.S. Or just ask DJS to mail you his.

I suspect you’re about to become a member of a not very exclusive club.
I haven’t put mine on my F-type, but I’m considering it for the XE (which I purchased there.)
I guess I have to work harder. I had to practically twist your arm to get ME to remove that awful plastic dealer—and not my dealer—license plate frame from your car. Next time I see you I’ll just have to affix it to your car while you’re not looking….

That looks very nice! Perfect spot for that badge. I am very grateful for your offer to send me one, that's incredibly generous! However, I wonder since I didn't purchase my car from Scarborough, or attend any member gatherings in the area, that the badge would not be appropriately representative. Let me see if my local Land Rover/Jaguar dealer has such an emblem to hand out.

I’ve sent you a PM. I can tell you that these badges have been sent to various locales around the country and globe (think U.K.) and it’s totally up to you whether you put it on your car or not. [witness DJS].
To the original question, if the badge is personally meaningful, there's no reason to not put it on. Grille badges have long-standing precedent on fine automobiles. If you were asking about a bumper sticker, you'd get a different response.

I was born in 1957. My car is a 2017. I found this on eBay, and its going on my red BDE.
My badges and jag swag on display in my office. A second Scarborough Jag badge is on my phone case as it made it on the back of the car 400 miles to Maine then fell off while washing. Recommend cleaning any spray coatings off with alcohol prior to
apply. You may also notice a prized publication to the far left (priceless really).
