Those bolts solved my problem 100%. I would not have suggested it if it did not achieve anything. Mine was quite a bit off when I bought it, and I sorted it all out using just those, so I would say it depends on what is wrong. I shimmed and adjusted and it is perfect now.
If it's much too far off then you'll need to grind the opening for the screw holes. This is very typical body panel alignment stuff... when you get new parts that don't fit you have to improvise with it. Experience with vintage cars helped me with this. Bring it to someone if it's beyond the scope of what you normally do.
If you mess a lot with the stops mentioned above then you may also have problems with the close/latch mechanism lining up and you will need to adjust that too. Careful which cans of worms you open hehe....

Have you had a look at the six bonnet (hood) stops? Hexagonal black plastic/rubber things about 3 cm across. Two on each side and two across the front. They screw in and out (down and up) and determine the height at which the hood closes. Screw them clockwise to lower, anti-clockwise to raise. The four on the sides just might be way high and need to be screwed down a bit.

Sorry, I took some pics but I'm having trouble drawing arrows on them pointing to the stoppers and then shrinking the pics down to a reasonable size, maybe someone with better skillz than me can help!
But just open your bonnet/hood and look, you really can't miss them, black plastic hex shapes that stick up and "wobble" a bit when you touch them.
