Y'all must not be using your horns enough one of the tones stops working (either the high or the low). Down here in South Florida, the use of a horn is a necessary form of communication. My horn sounds fine and I have never been embarrassed to use it, even with the top down.

Thanks for the reference OzXFR. I never saw the point of the chirps, since you can see the handle recess as soon as you touch it. Too much work pulling the fob out of my pocket to lock the car. Mine only chirps when the car doesn't want to lock for some reason (something not fully closed, key left in car...)

Why are people calling this a chirp? It's more of a wheeze. If it was a chirp, it would be good. And you can turn it off, but it still will do it if you're not careful when closing the hatch if your key is too close and it thinks it's inside.

How about some recordings? I get the impression that not everyone's horn works the same way.

I hate to say that the sound of the horn - and, oy, the click of the turn signal - are about my only complaints. They sound so...average. (First world problems to the extreme!)

Forget the sounds, buy some new wheels, it'll make you feel better. I understand it's therapy in some circles.

The horn sounds very weak......like a Civic or a Camry, not how a Jaguar should sound. It's not about the level of noise but the tone and quality.......add me the to list of the underwhelmed. Oh well, not that big a deal in the big scheme of things but I will be looking into changing it. .....maybe one from a 1966 Chrysler Imperial will work!

The sound is not great but the placement is just horrible! My Benz has the horn buttons on the edges of the center, just a finger away from where my hands are. On the Jag I have to take my hand off the wheel, lift it up and over and then hit the horn. I've had a couple emergency situations so far where there just wasn't time to do this. Going to look into getting some auxiliary switches on the edges of the wheel for mine.
Waaay back when, I put air horns on my OG Civic hatchback, you shoulda seen people looking around, wondering where the Ferrari was

These should do the trick, 153 dB!!

Having lived in Miami, I know that you either use your horn or your finger, or a combination of both on a regular basis constantly when you drive. That's why I moved to the other side of the state. Now I just have to constantly keep my head swiveling looking for the 95 yr. old drivers pulling out/backing out into me without looking. Horn doesn't matter, they can't hear it anyway. Hearing aid is turned off.

I have used the J.C. Whitney air horns with good results also. Maybe that would be a good solution. My former Mini Cooper had a more robust sounding horn than my F-type. I am definitely looking for some solution. Maybe the J.C.W. Catalogue again.......

My wife complains that I drive with one hand on my horn. I have no issue letting the other idiots know what I think of their indecision and their need to get out of the way

I want a train horn on it...if I could figure out where to install it
