Driving gloves?

Does anyone wear driving gloves for daily driving?

When I drive, the gloves come off.

If you watched the "not-for-public-consumption" film one of the attendees (the Director, not me) from last years event made, which I forwarded to you and others attending this year, you'll know there's at least one. Hint: it's at the beginning of the "film".

not me, but my missus wanted them (fingerless gloves)to keep the sun off the back of her hands in one car. I got her some leather fingerless gloves from a weight lifting place which were apparently pretty good.

Only when it's really cold out but I still want to drive with the top down.

Gibbo205 05-17-2018 07:29 AM

Should of got the heated wheel option. :D

I wear them. They look and feel awesome. Plus, I don't want the steering wheel ruined from my rough hands.

I even wear them for posting to the forum. :icon_lol:

Not for daily driving but I do wear them for long, fast trips. Never felt the need to use the heated steering wheel but would appreciate one that cooled.

Wasn’t someone asking about how to keep finger prints off the car?

DPelletier 05-17-2018 10:56 AM

Nope, I have to wear gloves (and all the other protective gear) when I ride my motorcycles so one of the big draws driving the 'vert is that I can do it in shorts and sandals! ....no gloves for me in the car. :-)

Leather gloves with a Thinsulate lining are my everyday winter gloves, but I also use them with the top down on cool days. Like yesterday. And this morning.

I can't keep up with gloves from winter to winter so no way I'd want to have to keep up with a pair for driving. Now that I have my motorcycle license and have gloves for that, I think it's going to take all my glove memory for those. :icon_mrgreen: Besides, in the car I like the feel of the steering wheel (plus mine is heated so now I may not even need winter gloves for the week or so they are needed around here).

The black satin ones that go up to the elbows are the most practical; you dont have to take them off to operate the touchscreen, where the heated steering and seats controls are.

I seem to remember the subject of driving gloves coming up on here once before a long time ago. It resulted in a few people being banned for their comments / opinions. LOL

LOL

Well, that didn’t take long. Between Graham’s posting and Queen and Country’s posting - those Brits - it didn’t take long for this thread to take a turn (for the worse or just weird?).

You had to ask Vince? :)

Wow, post simple question early morning, gone bonkers by noon. I will reply to a few that may hold the info on the purpose of the post. I do appreciate the creative enthusiasm of our group though (I think).

Ah, a fellow New Yorker maybe with some insight. What type/brand do you use?

And for anyone else that may have a suggestion. Graham?
