Oz - glad you solved it. I know from personal experience it's hard to believe 'driver error' in a car that you know well but that was my experience too
Unhingd - you joke about clown shoes but sadly that was the root cause for me! New shoes that were a slightly wider sizing than usual and the sole has a lip that sticks out about a 1/2cm on the side. That was catching the accelerator pedal and I couldn't even feel it!

Mborne - hope it's a similar issue rather than something more serious. Let us know what you find out!

So far after several excursions all signs are pointing to the shoes since it hasn’t happened since. I’ve purposely worn them again but hyper conscious of foot location so ive not seem a recurrence.

Have you considered engaging Flintstone Mode? 😁

Nati’s back! I see the incredibly long hours you are working have not dulled your sense of humor. I believe it was the Flintstone mode that created the problem in the first place. After a week of driving it almost daily and several 90 minute trips it has not recurred so I’m left with only one conclusion...it’s all my fault. Now please don’t tell my wife I admitted that. Thankfully she doesn’t read the forum!

Question for you folks using intake valve cleaner. Do you spray that directly into the TB while at idle? I tried using this stuff a year ago and having the MAF sensor out of the intake airflow caused the car to shut off immediately if my memory serves me.

I've done it twice now by spraying it into the brake booster vacuum line on the RHS of the engine, piece of cake and zero problems other than some (seemingly unavoidable) cylinder misfire DTCs which I cleared straight after, see here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...2/#post2182115
