F-Type R Companion

Being almost a year and a half into having the 15 RWD F-R, i started having an itch for something new. There was an earlier itch, where i replaced the 12 CLS 63 with a 15 ML63 due to our first baby.

The new addition is the 16 Viper ACR Extreme. They will be discontinued this year, and i felt it's the last chance to get a monster NA engine paired with a ( manly ) 6 speed. 8.4 Liter V10, 645 HP.

Hope you guys will like the build. Placed the order Saturday, will take up to 6 mo. to complete, due to everyone being hyped on ordering one after it beat the P1, 918, Veyron and LaFerrari on most american tracks.

Gunmetal Matte Gray with most options on.

I am fortunate enough to be able to start collecting unique and fantastic pieces. The long build time is painful, but will give me enough time to build an additional 3 car garage.

Atta boy!! That's amazing, I also have been very tempted by the latest Vipers - absolute animals.

I assume once you take delivery (assume the keys are dropped off by a bald eagle) - you'll probably instantly grow a mustache and be able rip trees out of the ground with your bare hands.

You don't need a new garage just get rid of that eyesore in the middle slot in your current garage. :icon_flamethrow:

Getting a 1,000 SF of tiles at 130 mph is a unique feeling. The interior of a real AMG is an wild dream for JLR.

very interesting, i first heard about it listening to joe rogan podcast, and started watching all the youtube vids

i've been looking to import one into aus to add to my car collection and have it sit alongside the 2005 ford gt, to have an american supercar from each generation

i agree this could be last chance to buy such a large NA engine with ever increasing tougher emissions

It got my attention when i heard they will be discontinued this year due to not meeting future safety regulations. I think it's the last chance to get a monster NA engine with a 6 Speed.

I remember when the GT got discontinued, new cars sat on the lots for years and now they are worth 400k.

Trying to predict what will become collectible is difficult, so that makes this high-risk investment. More so, for it to become collectible and retain maximum value it would have to be ultra-low mile garage queen.

I hope you plan to enjoy this car instead, as it is made for the track.

I personally would be too afraid of killing myself on the track with one of these. If you have access to something like that, you have to push it to the limit. This is what it is made for. Doing so safely would certainly be beyond my driving skill.

Absolutely love it!

You are perfectly right. I am building a striped down, turbo 350Z in order to get some track miles under the belt by the time it's ready. Most likely majority of the miles will be track and i will tow it there.

To my opinion it's an incredible return for the dollar. Getting with with all options aside from the CF packages ( i don't like the look ), will run about 130k will all fees included before sales tax.

The resale value has little relevance at this point as i do intend to enjoy the hell out of it. Being a potentially collectible has value to me and an excuse to buy it:))

It's funny you posted this. Since it's a super custom build, i will get a "1 of 1" plaque on the dashboard and that will say "built by".

I was thinking for both the plaque and the tag to do B47-MN.

Most tracks I frequent have rental track-prepped Mustangs for per-hour rental. Might be less hassle to go that way.

Don't forget to break it in and change engine oil early before you take it to the track for the first time. This will actually make difference not only in longevity but in available power.

Last but not least -tires makes tons of difference. Not certain what they will put on it during delivery, but likely not the best available.

Congrats, F type will need a friend, but not a competitor as they are different classes of cars. I don't think the rendering comes close to doing justice to what this car is going to look like in reality..

yep when i started looking for a GT they were around 150 USD, a year later i found the right car (all 4 options, white w/ blue stripes, still wrapped in plastic with delivery km) and paid twice that for it

my whole collection has been shaped by securing the last generation of manual/analogue/NA supercars
