F Type SVR video
Wraptor video
THe guy does four runs on the track, attempting to reach the 200 MPH mark.
At the end of the video, he does his final run and the car's internal speed limiter kicks in at 190 MPH. What's up with that !?!?!!
The SVR is suppose to reach a top speed of 200 MPH. So why does the limiter cut off the engine at 190 MPH. The host of the video was shocked by this occurrence.
Any thoughts and or theories as to why this is happening to a F-Type SVR.

I didn't see him turn on VMAX, which is required to hit 200.He did disable the spoiler, but then he put it in Dynamic. You have to put it in Dynamic and then activate VMAX.

I remember quite a few years ago there was a Jaguar promotional video with Michelle Rodriguez of "Fast and Furious" fame driving a stock SVR and she reached 200.3 MPH on a closed highway somewhere in the southwestern part of the states. She had nothing but praise after she climbed out of the car and was impressed at how stable the vehicle was at the top end.

That wasn't the speed limiter. When you reach the speed limiter the car just stops accelerating, it doesn't shut down the engine. There was something wrong with this car which is pretty unsurprising considering how much it has been messed with.
Thanks for finding this video DMeister and it actually motivated me to purchase an SVR soon after knowing that getting clocked at only 100 MPH would probably lead to a night in jail and having my car impounded!
Such an epic car the SVR. When these cars rise in price down the line there is no doubt they will be the king of the hill if well looked after.

Yeah my feeling as well, he didn't say there were any dash lights though which is usually what you see when the car goes into limp mode. He should have been logging the whole time, that is usually how tuners manage their cars at events like this (instead of guessing and letting their cameras fall off the car, which btw is a huge concern for drag).
