Yes indeed thought I post for those considering aftermarket exhaust. Personally I think the stock exhaust is best in my opinion, but its interesting to check out aftermarket options.

I too think that the stock exhaust sounds great... but I have to say, the sound in that V6 with that aftermarket exhaust system, sounded amazing.

The way they present the stock exhaust in the video, it does not seem to present as well as other videos I’ve seen that claim to be showing stock v6 sound.

Pretty obvious that they only showed the stock sound with the exhaust valves closed and as we all know it sounds better/louder with the valves open.
Also the first part showed a quad tip system ala V8 but still with a V6, then when they show their exhaust system later under the car it's obviously back to twin central tips so not the same exhaust as the first part at all. Nothing about whether or not their modified system is dual mode (ie with valves) either but it appears not.
So all up a bit sneaky.

I said the same thing. They should have had the stock exhaust in Dynamic and Sport mode. But of course they trying to sell the aftermarket product.

Quicksilver V6 exhaust has no valves so once you remove the stock exhaust its open all the time.

To be honest, I had the distinct impression they did the same for their video on the newer v8 f-types. Even though we know the new v8s don’t sound generally as good out of the box, they actually aren’t bad..Not as bad as this vid portrays anyway….

I do not need nor want an aftermarket exhaust in my car. I love the sound of the stock system... Specially those first few seconds when it starts from cold. That is just a glorious melody...

My plan is to install an ASR Valve Exhaust flap control (RX1) and have that sound at will. Thanks @DMeister

If you haven’t experienced your car with fuse 15 pulled yet, well, you are going to be pleasantly surprised with how much better the car is that way sound-wise. Massive difference.

That said, at least for me, additionally changing out the back box is gonna take it up the notch that I need to be fully satisfied.

I said the same thing initially, that I wouldn’t touch the exhaust at all, and here we are ;-0

Between work, some time I took as vacation to go riding with friends, and my wife to-do list, have not touched the car.

I have not messed with the fuse. I want to just get the ASR RX1 control when I am ready.

I hear ya, I would just do the valve controller and not mess with the fuse at all given the info out there now.
