Default First Year Service Approaching

I am coming up on the first anniversary of ownership of my 2022 F-Type and just want to give a shout out to whomsoever at Jaguar is responsilbe for the change in brake pads that has resulted in the sea change in the amount of dust that accumulates on the wheels. The wheels on my 2018 model literally needed to be wiped after ten miles of normal driving whereas the newer model's wheels stay nearly dust free for several days of both normal and spirited driving.
Also noteworth I think is the fact that there are no warranty issues that need to be addressed at the end of the first year.
Thanks Jaguar

Interesting SassySarah about the brake dust on your 2022 F Type. I have a 2021 and there is considerable dust build up on the wheels after a short period of time. When I wash the car I can see black water running off of the wheels when I first hit them with the stream from the hose. Maybe the 2022 models use different pads.

I'll be coming up on my second anniversary service and inspection in May. I believe all they do is an overall inspection and oil and filter change. Make sure they don't over fill the oil like they did on mine last year.

I agree with Dwight. There's a difference between the capacities of the RWD and AWD, the AWD takes about 3/4 quart less than.

Care to guess by how much my MY21 AWD was overfilled on it's first maintenance last June?

Yes, I'm quite familiar with the oil overfill possibility. It happened to me on the first service of my 2018, but since I had been forewarned on this forum I drove to a flat parking lot, waited the requisite time and checked the level before driving the considerable distance back home. I took the car straight back to the dealer and stubbornly insisted they correct the problem--which they did.
I have since learned (also via this forum) the method for checking the oil level before the 10 minute wait time. I do that as soon as the car is brought around from the service area before I even consider driving home.
BTW to anyone reading: If you can repost the method for checking the oil before the ten minutes, please do as I've lost the link.

Hood open, car on, but not running. When you go to check the oil level in the instrument panel, clicking "CAN" twice on your steering wheel will give you an instant read out on the current oil level.

Here's the JLR procedure, as part of the oil-change. Skizot's description is clearer!
