Front of car squashed
The front of my car was squashed in a Klaus automatic parking lift today. It was horrible coming back to my apartment and being notified that something had happened to my car. I was expecting much smaller damage than what I saw.

Oh man! I would be really, really bummed/pissed and I am not even materialistic at all. My bond with my F-Type goes beyond human love though :).
My condolences - take her to the best shop, hopefully the damage is the parking 'lots' fault. Gloom! Mousetrap. |
oh sad wow :(
im sorry |
Geez, how can that happen?
The F-Type is not a particularly long car, I reckon it's nearly a foot shorter than my old XFR was. Surely the parking lot owner is fully liable although I have a horrible feeling the car will be assessed as a write off. |
Ouch....that does not look good. So sorry for you, and hope it will be resolved in a good way.
|
Oh no! So sorry man! I am just sick just looking at the pix. Hope that it turns out OK for you...
|
Lost for words, condolences.
|
oh mate really feel for you
|
So sad. My condolences.
|
Fingers crossed you get the car back to its previous beauty, so sorry!

They started it with fluids gushing out of it?! This is negligence on top of negligence. You can clearly see the pool of coolant and maybe oil on the floor. Then they drove it.
I'd push for it getting written off. If they try to fix it, insist shell/body gets laser measured, as the entire weight of the car was sitting on the front. |

Based on what evidence do you know they drove it? Or are you just trying to spur conflict like normal? I’m sure he’ll take care of the unfortunate situation properly.... who knows... maybe he was even there for the whole thing and able to oversee the removal since there were before and after pictures.... |
this is terrible and I feel for you. When I see a loose hair on my car I get jitters, I can't imagine walking in to see this.
Please keep us posted on this situation, interested to hear how it gets resolved. |
I would be beating someone to death. I am sorry man. Hopefully they will make it right and their insurance will not be wasting your time. Have all your mods receipts ready
|
Ouch! best of luck with the repairs
Cheers, Dave |
We made it through 14 replies and none of the obligatory "Oh, that'll buff right out" responses?
But seriously, I hope they do not try to fall back on some bailment nonsense and an assertion that they are not responsible for damage. I do not see how something like that could happen unless the employee was yakking on their cell phone instead of paying attention. I am glad you are able to post...I would have likely been going ballistic enough to have been locked up somewhere. |
That looks like it's going to be an expensive fix, probably $20K+. :icon_snowball:

I'm not super familiar with these type of garages, but I am curious how the pictures were taken. Did someone store the car and walk away and not notice that it got crunched? Leaving it like that until you returned? Did they take the pictures as soon as it happened and share them with you?
|
I’m so sorry man, that’s a beautiful car with a beautiful wrap :’( really hope this gets sorted out okay! If this was through a attendant-parked garage, definitely go after them for damages—they should know better.
|
Ouch! Sorry to see that.
