Front Spoiler Scrapes
Hi, I know this is a problem many have faced. Looking for a solution. No matter how slow or at what angle I back out of my driveway, front spoiler scrapes. So, when approaching the car from the front, it looks a little ragged. Is there a type of sandpaper or tool I can use to smooth out these rough edges or actually shave some off of the spoiler?
Thanks |

A sharp knife will shave off the streamers quite nicely.

Thank you all. The thread was helpful. Spoke to a body shop that recommended 4 passes starting with 80 grit up to 300+ grit sandpaper.

I use a small piece of plastic clear door edge guard on the areas on the lower spoiler that scrape. Helps allot. I bought a new sacrificial spoiler off of eBay for a great price and am saving it for when I really need to replace it.

If I ever see people kneeling down in front of my car going tsk tsk, I might replace mine. Otherwise, I just live with it.

If it's a good looking woman kneeling down by my car ...............better stop so I don't get kicked out of the forum.

Unhingd, Could you please let me know what to search for? I tried a couple of things and can't seem to locate them. I did 2016 Jaguar F Type Front Spoiler. Thanks.

T2R4160

T2R4160 is the center piece. C2P22211 and CP22212 are the right and left spoilers respectively. All 3 cost $115 delivered. Do a search on ebay for these part numbers. rusnakjaguarparts4u is usually the low cost vendor.

I've the 100 grit as previously recomended and it is quite effective.

No matter how hard you try, its going to continue to scrape. I see no need to go anything finer than 100 grit sandpaper. a complete waste of time to be polishing the thing smooth with 300...
