Default GAP IID and the F Type

I have been told that the F Type is out of Beta testing for the GAP IID Tool G3. It will do all years. This has come directly from the manufacturer.

Is there anyone using it on their F Type and have you done any coding like changing DRL settings, disabling door chimes etc...?

Looks like it is only for 17 and up F-types, so no use to me. Weird they support LR's back to 2010, but no jags.

Why do you say 2017 and up? I don't see any mention of that. Would be odd to work on all F Type apart from the first. 2 years.

Select F-type under models and when you select year, there is only 2017 - 2022 to select

It'd be nice to have the option to dim the DRLs to to keep them cool or even turn them down and prolong their life as you can do via OBD on cars from other manufacturers.

I think that might be an error. It's not the best website. Even though they say it's out of Beta testing it still shows on the website that it's not however what you can see is that it says All F Types.

I bought the tool and you can dim the DRLs or turn them off which is what I've done.

Was this via the CCF?

I got the tool as well, and so far not a great experience, much less reliable than the VCDS I'm used to for Audi/Volkswagen/Bentley.

Yes, it's in the CCF. You have to set DRL to not fitted.

Gap tool was a bit fiddly to set up but now it works great. Very easy to navigate.

I had a quick look but I can't see anything to do with gpf. Might be better to email Gap diagnostic to get a definitive answer

Yeah, I cruised their website and nothing stood out obvious showing it had it. In my experience that doesn’t necessarily mean it does not. Documentation for these things on websites is often outdated. As you say, probably best to reach out to them.
