Gloating: Ceramic Pro coatings are OMG amazing
After only having my slightly used 15’ R for a month I took the plunge and had the car tinted, full paint correction, clear PPF protection and ceramic coated.
I don’t know whether to drive it or park it in my living room and stare at it’s beauty. After shopping around for which shop/product to go with I decided RT Tuning in Montgomeryville,PA would get the honor. Justin, a certified Ceramic Pro installer did an amazing job that took two weeks to complete all the tasks. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...f835584c4.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...6525870c6.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...42d21e597.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...e58c99978.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...31269f22c.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...549e9552e.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...c0c95bb0a.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...1e52da6d9.jpeg |
Car looks great. The coating is going to make your life SO much easier when it comes to washing and drying the car.

I vote for parking it in your living room and buying another F-Type to drive. Just stunning!!!
|
I'll let you park it in my living room!
|
I've had it for two years, and it protects great - only one minor ding - and still has the deep gloss like the day I had it done. Love it!
Yours looks great too! |
gorgeous!!
|
Can u pls share what's the costs involved?
& why 2 weeks to complete? Thanks, |
I also had Ceramic Pro applied to my car. I agree with the OP. It is phenomenal, even now after almost 2 years. Wax never needed!
|
Looks phenomenal! I will be coating your old car within the next few weeks :icon_toast:
|
Can't agree more as bugs, dirt and the dreaded brake dust wipes off easily and looks great.

Thanks, Tint on side and rear glass 35%. $320.00 3M prof PPF on bumper, hood, headlights, mirror, and rockers $900.00 Full paint correction and 4 coats of Ceramic Pro coating on red paint, 1 coat on glass, wheels, calipers, rotor hats. Then one top cost of shine..., on all surfaces except glass. $1,800.00 the PPF has to cure 3 days before coated. The ceramic needs to cure another day, add in 4th July and it took 2+ weeks |
I've never had Ceramic paint coating done on my cars, but I know several who have and they love it. My wife's car had Xzilon applied when it was purchased and I will say; it didn't seem worth it at the time but it did later.

Hello Navy.. I don’t mind sharing as long as it doesn’t become a debate as the costs and whether I got a good or bad deal.

Thanks for the info, Tp.
Did u get the top of the line 9H ceramic pro package, with the 5 yr or lifetime guaranty? u got the PFF over/on top of the ceramic? Thanks, |
That’s lifetime Ceramic coat, and the Ceramic must be put over the PPF. I thought that was weird but was explained that the film will not adhere to the ceramic and must be put down first.

You would think applying the quartz first makes more sense, as it would protect the paint best with film as added protection. I had the coating applied over xpel ultimate when I first did this. The film was never applied smoothly and edges also started curly. After two years the film appeared yellow. It was not as clear as the Suntek it redone with.t. I think they installed the ceramic over the top. So far so good. The only issue I have is dirt collecting at edges in certain locations; stands out against the white.

I know little to nothing about the ceramic coating, but I guess I just learned it is quartz, good to know. Is this coating that hard to apply and a professional is required to do it? Or is it the prep that is time consuming, what is the story?

car looks awesome! enjoy!

Mine is currently in the shop getting pretty much the same thing done.
I saw this video from Engineering Explained a while ago and it makes sense to me to do the ceramic coating on top of the PPF |
