Gloomy morning - auto beams flickering?
 

This morning was rather gloomy with heavy clouds. I noticed that my lights were flickering on and off constantly. This isn't ballast issue, flickering was due to Auto mode for low beams constantly turning them on and off. Have anyone experienced this?

Ironic - I noticed exactly the same thing yesterday, for the first time. It was sunny, but I was driving through a forested area. I noticed my headlight switch was halfway beyond auto (headed towards the off delay positions), so it it wasn't in any of the detents. I clicked it back to auto, seemed like it stopped flickering on/off, but not sure.

I seem to recall an auto beams test mode too...? It would behave like that in test mode.

I think there is an issue, I notice beams today coming on in a broad daylight. It might be corelated to turn signal operation.
