Default Goodbye for now

My beloved kitten has been declared a total loss after a Highway accident.

It was a tough situation since i had the choice to save it, but at the end i did not want to deal with deployed air bag, frame damage and extended wait time for parts and possible problems even after a proper repair.

It was a great experience owning such an amazing car in the name of the f type r, and the great folks here only made it better.

With the crazy market right now, I’m gonna take a break and hopefully it will be brief.

wish you guys a happy and safe holiday, goodbye for now.

Ouch. I take it that the damage was only to the car, and for that we should all be thankful. Especially you, of course, but all of us as well on your behalf.

Rest up, reflect, and return when you're ready.

Wow! That's tragic! Sounds like you're OK, though, which is the main thing!

Glad to hear you're okay. The car can be replaced, not you.

Thanks for the kind words, the car did very well to protect me, I was unscathed except a tiny little bruise on the chest.

I will definitely be back soon, im in a 2021 mazda 3 turbo hatch now, while a fantastic car for its segment, im really longing for that emotional v8 noise and on demand power. Might or might not be another f type, but it's gonna be something very similar.

If its an F type it is gonna be a used 2022 rwd p450. Tremendous value considering the low starting msrp and depreciation. Not entirely convinced on the styling changes especially the more generic flat headlight, but a newer car is a newer car.

Was also eyeing for a lightly used AMG GT preferably in the GT C trim, but those are way out of reach, same with any recent aston martins.

Glad you were not hurt. Tragic loss of the cat.
I also have a 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatch as a daily driver. Totally agree that it is a really nice car (especially for how inexpensive they are). It would be absolutely perfect with about 25 more HP and slightly less body roll.

My condolences on your loss. Very happy you were mostly unscathed.

The AMG GT is a pretty awesome car. They really did deliver one heck of a ride with that car.

I get to keep my custom wheels and i put the factory wheels on before it was towed. My shop told me as long as it’s not blatantly obvious like removing the seats, power train or body panels, the insurance doesn’t really care.

i could have taken off the vap cats but i didn’t have the stock ones anymore.

best looking hatch in the market, inside and out. Can’t believe there’s 0 fake vent and no fake exhaust.

The engine is fine for what it is but the transmission could definitely use some love. Can’t complain much at this price point though, at least it is not a cvt!

Guys, I'm back as promised, brought home an IRR 2015 R coupe last week, every bit as sweet as when I got the previous white R 4 years ago, feels good to be home!

I will post pictures once I get it detailed, it's full of pollen and light swirls right now but the paint underneath is in perfect condition, can't wait to see how the IRR shines after a proper wax and polish!

IRR/Firenze is is a fantastic colour for the jags, we are often getting comments on ours especially after a wash. You wont regret it, that's for sure.

I remember your Aston Martin esque c pillar, looked amazing!

Absolutely will not regret it, it's bold yet approachable, loud without being ostentatious, perfect match for the f type.

I think that photo is just about perfect - bright wheels and trim are an elegant combination with IRR, and the original-style grills look great with that color, IMO. But black works too.

Yes, our first XE was IRR with silver bits and looked very sophisticated. Our second is Firenze with black bits and looks pretty angry. Both are great.
