How many SVR are out there?
I have a 2017 caldera red SVR coupe, and I am trying to find out how many are out there.
Anyone have a link to production numbers for the SVR line? Google has so far failed me. Thanks in advance! https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...0904161b74.jpg |
My best educated guess puts SVR production at ~3,240 units (plus or minus ~400), so between 2,840 and 3,640.
(Foolishly, JLR will not release any official numbers, as they feel it is not to their advantage to do so.) And if you are looking for further breakdowns such as coupe/convertible, colour, etc., well good luck with that! |
Haha, thank you for the response. Is there a way to make a guess based on VIN number?

Best way to get the info, but very time consuming, is to look at every F-Type via TOPIx, and record the data.

Here are some numbers for Europe & NA...
Jaguar F-type European sales figures Jaguar F-Type Sales Figures | GCBC Jaguar F-Type US car sales figures |
Lots so don't plan on these being "limited" availability anytime in the future. IMHO they will be worth some coin simply due to the strong v8s in them but VIN #s and such would be kept private so that clowns don't try to FAKE their non SVRs which seems to be a trend with millennials to get false street cred

I wouldn't say there are "lots." I spend equal time in Silicon Valley and West LA where even on a short drive, you will spot every high-end car imaginable...but an F-Type SVR is rare. I've only seen another one driving 2 or maybe 3 times, ever.
I'll be genuinely surprised if there are more than 1,000 in the US. |
8 SVR’s are in Sweden.

I feel they are rare as well, I doubt there are more than a thousand in USA, given the paucity of listings online, but I would like to know for sure. For example, there are 20 svr coupes listed right now on one service, and 14 convertibles. Not a whole lot Thanks! |

I'm not sure where you are looking but AutoTrader alone shows 56 SVR's listed for sale right now...
https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...&firstRecord=0 You're right, I was looking at used only. The number doubles if looking at new as well. Ah well, just speculation in the end. There is only one like mine! |

Interesting that only about 15% of the SVRs ended up in USA. I'd have expected the vast majority to be in US given restrictive taxes, fuel costs and other issues in many other geographies. I wonder where most ended up

Getting to this information was like pulling teeth. After a lot of useless phone calls to JLR Customer Care I was finally able to get the folks who run the "Jaguar Advisory Board" to look into this and track down the 2018 numbers. Production numbers in 2018 MY F-Type SVR's were 349 built worldwide of which 47 2018 MY SVR's were delivered to the USA. They also validated that my BRG Coupe w/Saddle Interior, flat bottom steering wheel, etc. was a one of one in the world for 2018.

I contacted the Jaguar Advisory Board (I'm a member) – US <jordan@jaguaradvisoryboard.com>. It's not their job, but if you are polite and persistent they know how to get the information from JLR that addresses your question. Here's what I found out about 2018 SVR's
349 were manufactured in 2018 47 were shipped to the U.S. in 2018 Good Luck! Steve |
