I think I see some pussycat there in the concept? When was the concept released?

I love the Q60 and shopped for one before buying my $64k XE R Sport. The Q60 I want ed was also $65k but I couldn't see me buying a Datsun product in that price range.

however I still wish I bought the Q60 as I doubt it is plaqued with so many defects and bugs like my XE is and my experience would've been much better.

Was researching that very question myself, and apparently it is was unveiled in 2012 at the Geneva Auto Show.

Very nice Foosh! I've had a G35 coupe for almost 12 years and its been nothing but fantastic. In matter of fact I'd probably get rid of my F Type before I parted with it. Its been just to good and fun of a car to let go.

2009...it was stunner. You can see the gradual adoption of many of the Essence concept's styling queues in their more recent design language.

And while I don't really think the new Q60 looks at all like the F-Type, I do think it's a great looking vehicle. Road eye candy for sure! Happy motoring Foosh!

It's too bad they missed the mark by so much on the production unit.

100% agreement on that. Missed opportunity, for whatever reason, for Nissan for sure.

Concept car: Gorgeous (except for Infiniti's trademark rear side window shape)
Actual car: Nice, looking to steal sales from Lexus RC (and probably succeeding)

My G35 was flawless, had zero issues during my 10+ years of ownership, unlike my F-Type that has had 5 warranty fixes to date. But now that most of the issues are addressed, I am in love with my F-Type.

My son sells Infiniti's and drives a G37 IPL which is the predecessor to this one. He loves the packaging but does not like the drive by wire at all. He says it has no road feel at all and in a less charitable moment called it a "beautiful package wrapping a turd" very disappointing from a driving standpoint. He thinks they are going to do some work on the drive by wire since it's mimicking the problems they had with the same system in the Q50 which took them two years to fix. The engine and body he loves. I plan to drive it in a couple of weeks. Foosh please let us know how it drives after you have more wheel time. Congrats as they are really pretty.

Hi Marco,

I mistakenly said above that we have the Direct Adaptive Steering or "drive by wire," but we do not, I think fortunately. That apparently comes w/ the "Technology Package," which includes auto braking, and all the other warning sensors, which are all the rage now. That's the only option this car doesn't have.

Fortunately, the "standard" steering feels pretty good, and can be adjusted w/ the other modes from light to heavy, as you go into Sport and Sport+. My wife prefers it in soft and cushy mode, but she has learned she likes 400HP.

All that matters is that my wife is really crazy about it, and she's not exactly the car-crazy type. It is a nice car, and more beautiful in person than photos. However, it's not a car I would purchase for myself, but that's irrelevant in this case, particularly since she purchased it for herself.

Good to hear from you!
