Default Issue after motor mount replacement

Had my local mechanic replace the motor mounts on my F-Type. The install went smoothly, but immediately after, I started getting:
  • Reduced Power Steering
  • Special Modes Unavailable (can’t stay in Dynamic mode)
The car drives fine, just with reduced steering assist, and stays in Normal mode. When I first start the car, I can select Dynamic mode, but after 1–2 minutes it automatically switches back to Normal.

Dealership is recommending a BCM replacement, but I’m not convinced that’s the root cause.

I’ve already:
  • Disconnected the battery
  • Cleared codes with an OBDII scanner
No change.

The car had zero issues prior to the motor mount replacement.

Has anyone experienced this or have suggestions on what to check before committing to a BCM?

everything was connected back properly, and the dealership confirmed this as well.

If you look at this video, the connector to the steering rack has to be disconnected. Want to bet that they left it unplugged or plugged incorrectly (not fully seated)?

Do report back if it was as simple as that harness being unplugged…
