Leather on base F-Type

I was looking to treat the leather on my base model F-Type at the weekend. However, I was having real difficulty figuring out what is and is not leather.

SinF in the 'Satisfaction' thread posted the following list of areas he assumes to be leather ...

1. Seats (except fake suede, if equipped such)
2. Steering wheel
3. Gear shift cover (not 100% certain)
4. Door inserts, around door handle
5. Trim + brace handle around gearshift area

Are any other areas leather? The trim over the much of the dash and the glove box all feels quite soft to the touch and looks very similar to leather to me. I couldn't make up my mind what it is though.

It would be nice if someone could run this list through a parts catalog to confirm.

If any of those on the list (1-5) are in fact leather, it has to be the lowest grade I've ever seen. Not up to par with Jaguar standards in previous cars I've owned, even in the base model. But, still not a deal breaker.

Unless you go for one of the leather pack interior options its going to be leatherette

It's certainly not the best leather in the world, but the owner's manual says it is leather. I don't think it's leatherette on the seats. But that's probably what's over the dash.

Coming from Mercedes, I too was unpleasantly surprised at the state of the leather on delivery. It was rather dry on day 1. I am now going through process of revitalizing it, I will post back if I succeed (and I expect to).

At the same time, at least on seats it is rather thick, so it has potential to last. Thankfully it is solid cuts and are not perforated.

It should be possible to make seats last a long while.
