Luggage Option
I just bought two of these bags to maximize the amount of luggage capacity my wife and I can fit in our S Coupe. Two of them fit perfectly in the car, with room for other stuff. They are frameless, with no wheels or hard handles, so they only take up as much space as needed for what you pack. They seem to be very well made, fabric, zippers, stitching all seem high quality.

We bought a very large Gonex bag like that when we went on safari.
Small African planes have lower baggage weight limits. Gonex helped us pack more and stay under the 15lb limit. Also they seem very durable. Just today, we packed a bunch of stuff plus 2 regular duffles (not Gonex) and 2 backpacks in our vert trunk for a 10 day trip to Canada, with room to spare. As you said, the key is to avoid stiff bags and wheels. It was surprising how much we could actaully fit. |

There's a very old thread here about strap-on luggage bags that would strap to the 'vert trunk. I've kept that in mind, though last summer I did a 3-week 5000 mile road trip, with golf clubs in the trunk. But if I had a passenger, I'd consider the strap-on bag. (I'm avoiding obvious jokes.) |
Nice one! So you got the 100L ones and got them in under the trunk cover, right? How much space was left?

Looks like the 80L is the one to go for, so just ordered a green one to match my BRG car and might get another one if it's any good.

I've got a few of these free ones in my vert trunk...

So true.

I didn't try fitting them full of stuff yet, just laid them out to see how well the length and width matched the space, and it was a near perfect fit. I might take the package shelf out when/if I need more height. I used a tape measure and found that you could load up to 2 inches above the package shelf right behind the seat without blocking any of the rear window. Not sure if you can go 2 inches above it all the way back, but you can use more space than the shelf allows without losing visibility

If you go too far even though it looks OK the cover can jam and rip the sealing rubber strip off the front (engine side of the cover) and/or lift the cover off one or both pegs and/or break one or both cords. Of these I have done the first which wasn't a biggie as that strip in easy enough to fit back in place. |

A word of warning, don't go overboard with testing how much/high you can pack in with the cover still in place.

Got mine today and it looks really good. Even matches the BRG pretty well. Zips up nicely when not used and seems to fit very well in the trunk. Will hopefully try it out properly on a road trip next month and might get another one.
