THAT... was *fantastic*. Thank you.

And to all the others... so I don't keep carpetbomb posting, thanks to all of your info too. I think our 2016 base was an upgraded version of Meridian, but I'm not really sure.
edit: http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...-and-info-news

"The previously optional 770-watt Meridian surround-sound audio system is now standard across the line, as is proximity entry and start, 14-way power seats, and InControl Apps. "

I heard the fitted luggage fits great - when it's all empty. The moment you pack something in it....
I was undecided about the convertible or the coupe. Took the wife to the dealer. "Ms Simon" he says, opening the convertible boot "look at this". Wife lectures me on impracticality of convertible car for weekend get-always while dealer-man remotly opens the back of the coupe parked right there. Wife looks at it, "what is this? More practical!" Dealer-man says "it's the coupe." Wife says "You have to buy the coupe" so I did :-)
We just did a 1 week road trip to Canada, had plenty of room despite my filling most of the space in the back with the spare tire I ordered...

Only US (I believe). Meridian is still an option on MY2016 UK cars.

Mine has the Upload option so I'd say all 770w Meridians should have Upload option, UK or otherwise...

Default hi

Found this gem last night. Accidentally happened to hit both mirror adjustment buttons at the same time and didn't realize it. 5 minutes later I freak because both side mirrors are still tucked in.

Worst part is i thought it was from me opening my ladies door first instead of the drivers door.

Mine has 10 slots, but as soon as I load one of the slots, the upload button is no longer blue and I can't upload another until I delete the first CD (regardless of the slot I have it in). Any suggestions?

I have to select the next empty slot/number, then I can hit Upload.

Tried that. Didn't work. I'll give it another shot. Thx.

This time it works. Must have been user error.

Cool!

Although I admit to being puzzled by the 10 CD limit. That's about 500Mb or so, which is practically nothing these days!

Except to accommodate DVDs perhaps, I'm not certain why they even bothered with a CD player. It's so much easier to just upload dozens of CD albums onto an iPhone using a computer, and playing them using iPod, Bluetooth or InControlApps modes.

Yep, this is another one of things things I don't understand people stressing over. I haven't used a CD player in years because I loaded all the CDs I cared about into iTunes years ago.

I can select by album, artist, song, genre, etc., etc. If want to hear an entire album in the order it was recorded, I can do that too via Bluetooth streaming from my phone. Moreover, there is no difference in sound quality.

X2. I briefly thought about loading a few CD's but first I would have to find them, second i don't have any music from the past 8 years on CD, and I couldnt think of a CD I wouldn't get bored with listening to the whole thing. Just use my iPhone.

What annoys me is that I can't have a iPod plugged into the USB port and concurrently stream bluetooth via my iPhone without having to unplug it.

Ironically, in an XJ I had as a rental, I was able to do both... What gives?

Can't you just select the phone from the device menu?

I agree. It would seem to be a simple programming fix.

I learned that since owning and driving, the sun visors need to be about 4'' deeper to stop low sun from blinding...anyone bought a suitable aftermarket 'add-on'?

I find a baseball cap works well for that.

Not for me at 6'2." If they were 4" longer, I wouldn't be able to see the road further ahead, which explains why they are designed as they are. As they are, they are perfect--for me.
