Default New Continental Extreme Contact Sport -02

Hi all,
Haven't posted in awhile so I thought I would kick off the New Year with a picture of my new set of Continental Extreme Contact Sport -02's.. I won a set for my SVR (265 x 305) as a door prize during Mr. RickyJay52's very special Every Thing Ends F-Type Tour this past October in Maine. These are new to Continental. I look forward to Spring to try them out. Shout out to Mr.Sean McDermaid, Director of Sales for Continental, a long-time sponsor of RickyJay52's tours. Will post once they get a test drive. If anyone bought a set and has them in use in a sunny place, please post.

Regards, and Happy New Year!

How cool! Feel free to send them to me in Florida for some warm weather use. They may not be good in the snow

I too am interested in your review. Word on the street from small sports car drivers is that the All-Season Contact-2 (...they are the all-season ones, right?) are superb for the weight and balance that the F-Type has. Something about THIS particular tire (and I don't know what) appears to make it a perfect match for the Jaguar F-Type's personality. It's supposed to give a really nice ride and sense of calm when you're handling the car through maneuvers.

No, it is a summer tire (from Continental website):

The ExtremeContact™ Sport 02 is a dynamic, summer ultra-high performance tire for passenger cars. Ideal for both the street and track, this tire comes complete with SportPlus™ Technology, which provides responsive handling, better grip on wet roads, and extended tread life.
  • Superior dry and wet handling
  • Excellent dry and wet braking
  • Exceptional tread life
  • Track-proven performance
  • Preferred tire of:
ROUSH Performance

....Only the Summer version?
Yuck. I know Conti makes an All Season type of this tire (which is part of the kinda-new concept of "Sport Performance tire for year round use"). I was hoping yours was it....

I’m curious to what you think about the extreme contacts as well…I was planning on getting the same ones, but I just couldn’t pass up the deal I got on 4 FALKEN AZENIS FK510…I know they aren’t as good, but I don’t track the car and as fast I I go through tires out in the desert heat, I cheaped-out lol. Only had the Falkens for a few weeks now but no complaints yet. Keep us posted on the new shoes!

Default Your new Continentals

Would you be interested in selling them? I’m currently running the DWS model principally for non-snow winter driving. Will need new summers soon. ‘21 F-Type R Coupe.

No, I need them and am sentimentally attached to them having won them on one of my 5 f type tours (missed the first 3) sponsored by Continental's Sean McDermaid and great friend RickyJay52! I won't be able to post on how they perform till spring. Have Pirelli P zeros, which are not as good as the Michelins I was running om my R before I sold it. I expect them to be an excellent tire.

Actually, I had been losing sleep over that center cap issue, but the Jack Daniel's cured me of that.

How 'bout the tires?
