I think you can squeeze/press/push them in but I'm not sure having never done it myself, failing that just invoke maintenance mode.
The pistons will not push in all the way, usually, without putting the brakes in maintenance mode. Even then, I found it required the use of a caliper piston expansion tool.

No regrets as they perform well and I will likely never put enough miles on it to need them changed again and always good to bed new pads with new rotors.

how did you get the carbon fiber accents on your wheels?!

Looks like the 20” Blade wheel, which was an option.

Yep, them's Blade wheels.
Not cheap especially here in Oz so I hope I never damage one of mine!

I have the VAP rotors on my car and have been very pleased with them. They are Girodisc rotors, which have a great reputation across many applications. For the F-Type, the full set saves at least 40 lbs of rotating/unsprung weight (verified by my measurements) and they run cooler than the OEM rotors. I have done 3 track days and Tail of the Dragon with mine and they performed very well. I am running OEM pads (lots of dust, but good dual duty street/track) and Michelin PS4S tires.

The rotor hats on the VAP 2-piece rotors for the F-Type are standard thickness. They do not have a built-in spacer to change the wheel offset.

Yep, the best brake pads I have ever used were Power Stop Evolution on my old 2010 XFS. Smooth, powerful, quiet and very low dust.
Problem is that car had the 355 mm front and 326 mm rear brakes and after mucho searching I have found that Power Stop do not make brake pads for the 380 mm front or 376 mm rear brakes (Super Performance) on the F-Type R. 355 mm fronts and 326 mm rears (Performance) as per the base model yes but 380/376 mm nup.
I would get them in a heartbeat if they existed but sadly they do not.

Ill be coming up on new pads and rotors very shortly. How does one tell if you have the super performance or regular brakes on the R. I guess that the first part I have to figure out before purchasing Pads and Rotors.

Has anyone here ever used R1 Concepts Drilled and slotted Black Rotors before.

Ian I assume you put the Rare ones on the Rear. The part you listed is specific to front correct. Where did you purchase. Id be looking for a low dust alternative to stock pads. The metallic ones leave dust everywhere on the black wheels

I thought the R came standard with the 380mm brakes.

All F-Type Rs came with the Super Performance brakes, 380 mm front and 376 mm rear, excluding those with the CCM brakes, so that is what you have.
As you can't get Power Stop brake pads for your R you might consider Porterfield R4-S pads which are available in the correct sizes for you.
A popular choice around here moi included!
Not ceramic as such, they are advertised as "carbon kevlar" whatever that means, possibly just another name for ceramic.
Very low dust, low/nil noise, nice and progressive and just as good stopping power as the OEM pads.
The only down side for some is that they don't have the initial bite of the OEM (semi-metallic) pads, they can feel a little "soft" for the first cm or so of pedal travel, but that means they don't have any annoying "grabbiness" in stop/go traffic.
I am very happy with the Porterfield pads I fitted several years ago now, never had a problem with them still as smooth and low dust as when they were new and good (low) wear.
For an F-Type R you want AP 1750 front and AP 1753 rear and you can get them from one of our sponsors, Velocity AP.
Another choice is Porterfield R4 (ie not the S, S stands for "street") but these are a track focussed pad and not so good on the street - very noisy when cold and fairly dusty.
