Default Oil Leak - Power Steering Top Up?

Hey fam,

I got an oil leak at the front. Wheel is super hard to turn. It's been getting worse over 2 weeks, thought I could wait it out since I drive it once a week and my appointment is soon, but now I wouldn't take the risk.

It's most likely my power steering; can I top up the oil to get to Jaguar? It's about 10 miles away. I just don't want to break anything but would love to avoid a tow.

What do you think?

What year is your F-type? Jag switched from hydraulic to electric power steering assist, but I don’t recall when they did this - 2018?

it's an f-type 400 2018. AI is saying they switched in 2016 but I wouldn't know. I'm not much of a mechanic!

Yep, the switch from hydraulic to electric power steering came with the 2016 MY so your 2018 will definitely have electric.
Dead easy to check - if your F-Type has hydraulic power steering it will have a fluid reservoir near the front left corner of the engine bay, behind the left headlight housing, if no such fluid reservoir then you have electric steering.

Check your engine oil level in the instrument cluster.
